Crossing the Great Barrier Nov 27 to Dec 2nd 2011
“Great Barriers to Missions” is an opportunity to experience God in a new way. We are intending to spend five days on Great Barrier Island to explore some of the myths, truths and half truths of missions.
What will we do? “Some of the barriers we will explore together are; guidance, trusting God with our personal rights, courageous discipleship and God’s faithfulness in our journey. There will be time to share your experiences of God’s grace and guidance. This will be a very relaxed time with plenty of space to wander the beach, swim, think, chat, and pray. Kiwicon 2011
This is our main conference to be held at Eastwest College from Friday 7 October until Monday 10 October 2011?
Kiwicon 2011 will be centered on the theme of the WEC pillar of sacrifice. Trevor and Jen Kallmier will be with us as the devotional speakers. On Friday evening Ian Collinge will lead us and his Eastwest College Ethnomusicology students in a World Worship evening after evening tea. At Kiwicon we plan to have time for networking, friends and ourselves. But above all we want to seek the LORD together and pray for our ministries.
Soul Survivor
In October is Soul Survivor. We intend to be involved at the Ngaruawahia, Feilding & Christchurch events. Soul North, Central & South are 3 epic days for people to hang out & muck in and worship Jesus through service & song.

Glocal Workshop | My Neighbours are Weird - St. Andrews, Howick, Auckland (6th). Emmy, Ross and the team will be facilitating this popular workshop on Saturday morning. St. Andrews is hosting but do let us know if you'd like to join us exploring culture, what it means to be "Kiwi," Eastern vs Western worldviews and good principles for how we can share the gospel across these chasms.
Auckland Trips...again! (7th & 14th). Our mobilisers are participating in parts 2 & 3 of a trilogy of missional workshops hosted by a North Shore church on Sunday afternoons. Drop us a line if you'd like to catch up with them whilst they're in town.
New Zealand Turkey Network Conference - Royal Oak Baptist, Auckland (12th, 13th). Our mobilisers will be there throughout so come on by if you'd like to talk Turkey or just catch up and explore mission together.

Eastwest College, Gordonton, Hamilton (13th). Our mobilisers will be sharing about current opportunities in mission with the students at Eastwest.
Candidate Orientation Celebration | WEC National Offices, Gordonton, Hamilton (15th). We'll be celebrating as 9 people will have completed their 3 month pre-field orientation with WEC and be gearing up to join teams in some of the least-reached areas on earth.
Auckland Trip (31st). Emmy will be participating in the first of 3 Sunday afternoon sessions at a North Shore church. We'll be exploring culture, worldview and principles of sharing the gospel across cultures.

Glocal Workshop | Muslims, Me & God - YWAM, Tauranga (18th). Joseph will be facilitating this interactive 3 hour workshop. The first half looks at the beginnings, beliefs, practices & worldview of Islam. The following section involves the practicalities and "how-to's" of building genuine friendships and sharing with Muslims... wherever they are.

Glocal Workshop | Muslims, Me & God - Equippers College, Auckland (1st). Eric, Emmy & Josh are facilitating a 4 hour workshop looking at principles for effective outreach to Muslim peoples, wherever they are. Check out Workshops tab on this site for more details and get in touch for more info.
Eastwest College of Intercultural Studies, Gordonton/Hamilton (9th). Emmy & Eric will be leading a session looking at questions the students have asked of WEC International as a mission organisation.
Glocal Workshop | Muslims, Me & God - Vision College, Hamilton (10th). Eric & Emmy will spend the morning running through the beginnings, beliefs & practices of Islam. This is followed by the practicalities, issues and opportunities of building friendships and sharing with Muslims in your neighbourhood or workplace.
Wellington & Palmy North Trip (11th-15th). Our mobilisers are heading south to speak with a range of churches and people on all things mission...maybe you'd like to hook up for a coffee with them too?
Christ's Sanctuary, Palmerston North (12th). The church youth are hosting an inter-church evening full of delicous food and discussions on how we can be involved in global mission.
Plimmerton Presbyterian, Wellington (13th). Eric and Andrew (WEC Trekker) will be sharing in the morning service, with Emmy leading the youth service in the evening.
Headspace, Cambridge (15th, 23rd & 30th). Ross is heading out to the Headspace gap year programme whilst its based out at Finlay Park. He'll be taking the first of three sessions on cross-cultural understanding and communication. Lyn will take the second, with Eric and Emmy wrapping things up on the 30th.
Glocal Workshop | My Neighbours are Weird | Muslims, Me & God | Buddhists, Me & God - The River, Auckland (19th). Eric, Emmy and Maurice are leading a Saturday's worth of workshops in East Auckland. The morning is focused on exploring culture, what it means to be "Kiwi," Eastern vs Western worldviews and just how we can share the gospel across these chasms.
After lunch people choose whether to focus on 
understanding and reaching Muslims or Buddhists. Get in touch with The River or ourselves if you'd like to participate in any part of the day.

Crossing the Great Barrier | WECNZ Great Barrier Island Trip (5th-9th) Five relaxing days exploring some of the myths, truths and half truths of missions and WEC...including of course plenty of space to wander, swim, think, chat, and pray.

Glocal Workshop | My Neighbours are Weird - Elim Ministry Training Centre, Auckland (20th, 27th) Eric, Emmy and Ross will once again be facilitating a series of 5 workshops for the interns. The first two weeks will include modules from "My Neighbours are Weird," exploring culture, worldview and principles of how to share the gospel across cultures.
Wellington Trip (22nd - 26th) Matt will be at Upper Hutt Baptist in Sunday morning, and All Saints, Haitaitai in the evening. Either side of Sunday he's catching up with various church leaders and interested people. Let us know if you'd like to catch up with him for a finely brewed coffee somewhere.

BBQ @ WEC (12th) All Eastwest College grads and mission enthusiasts within "cooey" of Gordonton are invited to an evening of fine smells, similarly wired mates and relaxing conversations around cross-cultural mission. Many an invite has been sent, so let us know if you'd like to be in the loop.
NZ & Beyond - West City Christian Centre, Auckland (18-20th) Look out for Eric, Ross and Pat as they attend this conference geared at reaching the lost in and from New Zealand. One Generation From Extinction - Auckland (11-13th) We're passionate about the whole church being involved in his whole mission. Adaire and Emmy will be attending and gleaning all they can for helping 0-14 year olds join Jesus in his worldwide mission. Soul Survivor Youth Festival- Fielding (14th -17th) WEC Mobilisers Eric and Emmy will be there offering mission resources, leading a Glocal Workshop, and just enjoying the uniqueness of SSNZ. Sign up and see ya there!
Call2All International Conference- Tauranga (19th-22nd) WEC Mobilisers Eric and Adaire will attend and would love to see you and chat at the WEC exhibit. This promises to be quite an experience as attendees from over 50 countries gather to look at mobilising the next generation into mission among the as yet "unengaged least-reached peoples" of the world.
New Wine Family Camp - Waikanae (21st-25th) WEC Trek Directors Ross and Jillian will be there offering mission resources, training through leading some Glocal Workshops, and just relaxing as a family in the awesome atmosphere.
