Whether it’s running schools, medical clinics, sustainable farming, developing literacy programmes, providing relief and development or cattle for those who have lost all they had, WEC teams are sharing Christ’s love around the world. It is tough and often thankless, but so relevant and necessary. Some of the workers involved are highly trained professionals, others with hearts full of love do what they can – just like Mary did for Jesus (Mark 14:6-8).

Farming God's Way reaps Harvest
New Zealanders Keith and Pauline Whiting, serving in South Africa, have been leading a Rainbows of Hope ministry team focusing on children in crisis. More recently they ran a course called Farming God’s Way (FGW) at their community training facility. Africa, while rich in natural resources, remains largely characterised by deficient cropping practices. A host of challenging realities have contributed to severe crop failures and the continent’s “begging bowl” status.
African Witchdoctor Turns to Christ
A WEC Trek team to Africa early this year witnessed a witchdoctor set aside his amulets and turn to follow Christ. Trek team member Lindsay recounts the story.
