My Prayer for a Muslim Friend
I was sitting in an English airport ready to fly to India for the first time. A youngish looking lady started speaking with me about her first time flying alone, and the anxieties that came with that. Eventually she unraveled what seemed like her whole life story to me as I listened intently – wondering where this was all heading.
To Hell with them?
In recent downtown street conversations it’s been startling, although not surprising, to hear that most people don’t believe in Hell. Heaven, yeah sure, many like that idea. Hell, no way, can’t stomach that one. Would we answer any differently?
For many of us Hell is one of those beliefs we secretly hope never comes up in discussions with our not-yet Christian friends. But like it or not, our ideas on eternity have far-reaching implications.
Church planting leads to 'doing justice'
WEC is focused on church-planting. Yet WEC workers are involved in many social projects:
* Caring for children in crisis
* Digging wells
* Setting up schools
* Helping people to get vocational training
* Teaching adults to read and write.
Why does a church-planting mission do all this?
