Abby is a West Aucklander who has gone out as a short-termer on a WEC Trek. Having been on several missions trips with teams she decided to brave it and go out for a year, joining a WEC team in a remote part of Guinea Bissau in West Africa. With a background in teaching and lots of youth experience she is helping teach and do outreach with the long-term team. Many Trekkers have great stories to tell - Abby's are sprinkled with her quirky sense of humour. This is an off-the-cuff day-by-day account of her time in Guinea Bissau. (Disclaimer: not all details necessarily correct since this is written as she experiences it, and posted by others, often late... who also wrote this profile!)
